EyeGuard Terms of Service
The service
EyeGuard is an eye-break reminder application for phones, tablets and desktop computers, with an optional service that keeps reminder settings and timer state in sync across the devices you own.
Health disclaimer
EyeGuard is a scheduling and reminder tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It is not a substitute for professional advice from an optometrist or physician. If you have concerns about your eyesight, consult a qualified professional.
Acceptable use
- Use the sync service for your own devices.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service, exceed published rate limits, or gain access to sync groups that are not yours.
- Do not redistribute modified builds of the app as if they were official.
Subscriptions
Optional paid features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store and Google Play. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by those platforms under their own terms; manage or cancel a subscription in your platform account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals and leaves access in place until the end of the paid period.
Availability
The sync service is provided on an as-is, best-effort basis and may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades or reasons outside our control. Sync state is held in memory and is rebuilt by your devices after a restart, so a restart may briefly interrupt syncing. The app's core reminder function continues to work without the service.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, EyeGuard is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app or the sync service.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version is always published at this address with the date shown above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
